Eric Paschall, a 6-foot-9 transfer student from Fordham University punched his ticket to the Final Four in San Antonio over the weekend, scoring 12 points while leading the top-ranked Villanova Wildcats in minutes during their 71-59 victory over third seed Texas Tech in the regional final of the NCAA Tournament.

Paschall was inefficient from the field, hitting just two of his seven field goal attempts, but he led to the way from the charity stripe, hitting eight of his 10 free throws, while grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds in the winning effort.

The Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, Paschall transferred after his freshman year following the firing of former Fordham head coach Tom Pecora.

It was a long journey for the Dobbs Ferry native to get to the Final Four after starring as a freshman for Fordham University before transferring in 2015 to Villanova. After sitting out a year due to his status as a transfer student, Paschall went on to serve as a bench player for the Wildcats last year before becoming a fixture in the starting rotation this season.

For the season, Paschall started all 36 games for Villanova, averaging nearly 30 minutes a game while averaging 10.3 points per game shooting at a 52 percent clip from the field.
